2024 MLB All-Star Game voting is now live: Which Texas Rangers made the ballot?

In last year’s midsummer classic, Texas provided the American League with at least six All-Stars for the third time in club history.

Voting is now live for the 2024 MLB All-Star Game, which will be July 16 at Globe Life Field this summer.

Major League Baseball and the Texas Rangers announced the official launch of the ASG ballot on Wednesday. The voting process will again feature two phases of fan voting to determine the All-Star Game starters. Fans can cast their votes exclusively online and via mobile devices at rangers.com/vote, the MLB App, and the MLB Ballpark App until the voting period for Phase 1 concludes at 11 a.m. on June 27. During the initial voting period, fans can submit up to five ballots each day that voting is open.

The top two vote-getters at each position (and top six outfielders) will advance to Phase 2 of the fan vote, which begins on June 30 at 11 a.m. and concludes July 3 at 11 a.m.

The leading vote-getter in each league during the first phase of voting will receive an automatic starting assignment at the All-Star Game and bypass the second phase.

During the second phase of the voting, in which fans can vote once per day at rangers.com/voting and other MLB platforms, vote totals will reset. The elected starters for the 2024 All-Star Game will be announced on MLB Network at 6 p.m. on June 30.

There will be nine players on the ballot for every MLB team. For Texas, the ballot for Phase 1 voting will include first baseman Nathaniel Lowe, second baseman Marcus Semien, third baseman Josh Smith, shortstop Corey Seager and outfielders Evan Carter, Adolis García, and Leody Taveras, along with catcher Jonah Heim and designated hitter Josh Jung.

The Rangers have several initiatives planned for Phase 1 of the voting because the All-Star Game in Arlington “needs more Texas.”

Semien, Seager, Jung and Heim were elected as American League All-Star starters in 2023 while García started in the outfield for an injured Aaron Judge to make the Rangers just the fifth team ever with as many as five All-Star starting position players. Nathan Eovaldi was selected to the AL pitching staff, giving Texas at least six All-Stars for the third time in club history.

ASG ticket offer: By participating in the 2024 All-Star voting at rangers.com/vote, fans will receive a special offer for a 25% discount on certain tickets to select Rangers home games during the 2024 season.
