The stars are out in Arlington.
The MLB All-Star Game is back in town for the first time in 30 years, baseball’s best showing out at Globe Life Field on Tuesday night.
Corey Seager, Marcus Semien and Kirby Yates are all representing the defending champion Rangers, along with a few other former Ranger names like Cole Ragans and Jurickson Profar, not to mention local phenom and Home Run Derby runner-up Bobby Witt Jr. Semien will start at second base for the American League.

8th inning: Rangers’ All-Star reliever Kirby Yates got into the game in the 8th inning attempting to protect a 5-3 American League lead.
Yates produced a very quiet inning, retiring CJ Abrams, Heliot Ramos and Will Smith in order with a pair of strikeouts. Yates was greeted with a warm ovation as he walked off the field and held up a wave to the Arlington crowd.

5th inning: Corey Seager almost lifted the roof off this place.
The Rangers’ star was inserted at shortstop in the 5th and in his first at-bat cranked a ball to the deepest part of Globe Life Field, only for it to fall into the glove of the NL’s center fielder.
It’ll be Seager’s only at-bat of the day, as he was subbed out at shortstop afterward.

3rd inning (bottom): The Rangers, and the American League, are on the board.
Rangers second baseman Marcus Semien gets the club’s first base hit in the 2024 All-Star Game, ripping an opposite-field single to right field. Semien was the first of three AL runs to score soon after in a game-tying, three-run rally. Semien also laced a ball to left field in his second and final AB of the night, but it was snagged by Profar for an out.
