Watch: Wyatt Langford delivers for Texas Rangers with walk-off hit in extra innings

Langford scored the tying run in the bottom of the ninth and drove in the game-winning run in the 10th inning.

It was about as badly needed as a win could be for the Texas Rangers.

With questions swirling about the Rangers potentially selling at next week’s trade deadline, time is running out. Any loss at this point is incredibly damaging to the Rangers’ playoff hopes.

Texas doesn’t come away with the extra innings win over the Chicago White Sox without rookie phenom Wyatt Langford. It was just another moment on Langford’s rookie year resume, which already includes a grand slam and a cycle.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, with the Rangers trailing 3-2, Langford got things started with a one-out double. With two outs, he stole third base.

After a clean top half of the 10th by Jonathan Hernandez, Langford came up in another big moment.

Chicago intentionally walked both Corey Seager and Josh Smith to load the bases for Langford with two outs.

Langford delivered with a 109.2 mph missile off of the left field wall to win the game for the Rangers.
