Ex-Baylor forward Tristan Clark ends brief retirement, commits to SMU

Tristan Clark is ending his brief retirement to return to basketball.

The former Baylor forward took to Twitter to announce his commitment to SMU on Saturday.

Clark was a key cog for Baylor during the 2018-19 season, averaging 14.6 points on a highly efficient 73.7% shooting from the floor. He also averaged 6.3 rebounds and 2.4 blocks.

However, a knee injury prematurely ended his 2018-19 season and Clark had some difficulty returning from the injury. In 22 games the next season, Clark averaged four points on 47.5% shooting in just over 13 minutes per game.

Before Baylor’s 2020-21 season, Clark announced his retirement from basketball. Now, Clark is getting a chance to restart his basketball career with the Mustangs.
