Braden Holtby sees limited action, giving Stars four goalies on the ice during practice

Holtby has not played since Nov. 10 against Nashville due to a lower-body injury.

Stars goaltender Braden Holtby practiced Monday morning, giving the Stars four goalies on the ice. Jake Oettinger, Anton Khudobin and Ben Bishop were also there.

Bishop left mid-practice, and Holtby saw limited action as Oettinger and Khudobin received the lion’s share of the workload.

Holtby has not played since Nov. 10 against Nashville due to a lower-body injury, one that he said was “a lingering thing that just kind of kept getting worse and worse. So just trying to get ahead of it, get back to the way I was feeling [at] the start of the year.”

Holtby could return to action this week, but it seems like the Stars want to get him more practice time before reinserting him into the lineup.

“He said he felt fine today, but he hasn’t had a lot of work in the last week, so we’ll go from there,” Bowness said.
