Watch: Stars score first home goal of WCF with spectacular Jason Robertson swat-in

Robertson’s score tied the game and broke a streak of seven straight Vegas goals across three conference final games.

The Dallas Stars aren’t quite dead yet.

After a night of embarrassment in Game 3, the Stars and their 0-3 deficit took to the ice for Thursday night’s Game 4 — and once again got off to a less-than-ideal start.

Las Vegas’ William Karlsson got the Golden Knights on the board early into the game with a tip-in goal to give his side a 1-0 lead, the seventh consecutive goal Vegas had scored in the series.

With American Airlines Center leaning towards the quiet side, it was Stars forward Jason Robertson who, for the first time this series, gave the home Stars fans something to cheer about.

With Dallas on the power play, Robertson planted himself in front of the Vegas net and fielded a pass from defenseman Miro Heiskanen. Robertson batted the puck up in the air and behind Knights goalie Adin Hill, then smacked it into the net for Dallas’ first goal in 117 minutes of play.

Robertson, the Stars’ regular-season scoring leader who earlier in the playoffs had been in a bonafide goal drought, has scored three goals in the Western Conference finals. That’s half of the Stars’ six they’ve scored in the series. A streaking Jason Robertson would certainly help Dallas climb the mountain that is their 0-3 deficit to Vegas.

Robertson added another game-tying goal in the second period, and was on the ice for Joe Pavelski’s overtime winner that extended the series to a fifth game.
