Stars forward Tyler Seguin and wife Kate are expecting their first child

Baby Seguin is arriving in January 2025, the couple announced on Instagram.

Tyler Seguin is the latest Dallas Star to announce he will soon be a father.

The 32-year-old Stars forward announced on Instagram alongside his wife, Kate, Friday evening that they are expecting their first child in January.

The couple, which married last summer, wrote in a joint post: “Half of you & half of me. Baby Seguin arriving January 2025.”

Seguin is entering his 15th year in the NHL and 12th in Dallas. Last season, he recorded 52 points in 68 regular-season games and tied a career-high 13 points in the playoffs.

He joins Stars defenseman Miro Heiskanen, who had a baby last season, as the team’s newest dads.
