Tyler Seguin out vs. Sharks; Mavrik Bourque set for season debut with Stars

After years of anticipation, Bourque, the organization’s top prospect, finally solidified a spot on the roster.

Dallas Stars coach Pete DeBoer announced the Stars will be without Tyler Seguin for Tuesday’s game against the San Jose Sharks.

Seguin is listed out with a lower-body injury and is considered day-to-day. Dallas will also be without Matt Dumba, who DeBoer said is considered week-to-week.

The Stars also got a bit of good news, as DeBoer said rookie Mavrik Bourque is set to make his season debut Tuesday after missing the first three games of the season with a lower-body injury.

After years of anticipation, Bourque, the organization’s top prospect, finally solidified a spot on the roster. Following an outstanding campaign in the AHL last season where Bourque was the league’s MVP and scoring champion, he earned a spot as one of Dallas’ top nine forwards after the retirement of Joe Pavelski.
