TCU QB Hauss Hejny out for at least 2 weeks after injury against Stanford

After two snaps in the third quarter, Hejny was spotted on the sidelines with a boot and crutches.

During Tuesday’s press conference, TCU head coach Sonny Dykes said freshman QB Hauss Hejny will be out for at least a couple of weeks following his injury against Stanford on Saturday.

“Hauss is going to be out a couple weeks,” Dykes said. “Maybe a little longer. It’s kind of hard to tell right now, but he’s actually way ahead of where he would be at this stage.”

Hejny entered the Stanford game in the third quarter and had a couple of rushing attempts before exiting with an undisclosed injury. He was spotted on the sideline with crutches and a walking boot.

The Aledo product saw meaningful snaps during spring camp as QB Josh Hoover was out with a back injury. Hejny was heavily recruited out of high school and was Texas’ 32nd-best prospect prior to 2024. He was a four-star recruit and brought Aledo (14-2) to a Class 5A Division I state championship in 2023.
