College football picks (Week 13): Predictions for Texas A&M-LSU, SMU-East Carolina, UNT-UTSA and more

The DMN’s panel of nine experts makes predictions (straight and vs. the spread) for this weekend’s games.

This week, The Dallas Morning News’ panel of nine college football experts — including columnists, writers and editors from The News as well as personalities from The Ticket, FSSW, NBC5 and the Denton Record-Chronicle — makes predictions for 25 different games (we’ve upped that total from the usual 20, since there have been more than a handful of cancellations each of the past few weeks and we want to land closer to our usual total of 20 games that are actually played), both straight and against the spread.

This week’s key local matchups include a Friday tilt between Texas and Iowa State -- a game that carries major Big 12 Championship Game implications -- and a Saturday rivalry matchup between Texas A&M and LSU. Other games featuring local teams include SMU vs. East Carolina, North Texas vs. UTSA, Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma State, Oklahoma vs. West Virginia, TCU vs. Kansas and Baylor vs. Kansas State.
