3 things that need to happen for Texas A&M to make the NCAA Tournament

The Aggies’ scoring leader Emanuel Miller will need to step his production up as A&M finishes out the season.

Texas A&M currently sits at a 7-5 record and is 10th in the SEC. In order to make the 2021 NCAA Tournament, the Aggies need a quick turnaround as they move through the remainder of their schedule.

Here are three things that need to happen for Texas A&M to make the tournament:

Consistent energy

The Aggies have struggled with maintaining their energy throughout games this season. Against Missouri, the Aggies went into halftime trailing by just three. However, their momentum fizzled in the second half while the Tigers were able to extend their lead to a final score of 68-52. As the season winds down, A&M needs to quickly solve these issues in order to finish the season strong.

Emanuel Miller

Over the Aggies’ last three games, sophomore forward Emanuel Miller has only recorded 26 points. As the Aggies’ leading scorer, Miller is a central part of A&M’s success, and he needs to be able to return to his previous form to help the Aggies reach the tournament.

Cleaning up their play

A&M often finds itself in foul trouble and with a high turnover rate in games. With just over a dozen games remaining on the schedule, the Aggies need to clean up their mistakes, which will in turn help them find and maintain that consistent energy they have been lacking.
