Texas A&M forward Julius Marble arrested on sexual assault charge

The senior, who played high school basketball at Jesuit, had been away from the team since October.

Texas A&M forward Julius Marble was arrested Thursday by the College Station Police Department on a sexual assault charge, according to Brazos County jail records.

The senior had been away from the team since October while dealing with what Texas A&M called a “university process.” He did not play in a game in the 2023-24 season.

Per arrest records, the original offense occurred on October 14, 2023.

“Texas A&M Athletics is aware of the situation and the student-athlete’s status with the University has not changed,” the athletic department said in a statement Thursday.

Marble, who was a touted Dallas high school recruit at Jesuit, averaged 9.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game while making 30 starts for the Aggies during the 2022-23 campaign.

He spent the first three years of his college career at Michigan State before transferring to Texas A&M.
