Top Workplaces’ @properties Christie’s International Real Estate has tools for success

Computer technology and sales incentives attract the ‘right people’ to this Dallas-based real estate firm.

NO. 3 SMALL COMPANY

FIRST-TIME WINNER

Real estate firm based in Dallas, with two D-FW offices and 77 local workers.

Not everyone can afford a Rolex watch. But top agents and staffers at @properties Christie’s International Real Estate in Dallas have the opportunity to earn one of the exclusive luxury timepieces. The incentives-based perk comes via the full-service real estate firm’s Road to Rolex program, which includes membership in the company’s Rolex Club and an annual celebration event.

The program is modeled after a similar one at the @properties Christie’s International Real Estate brokerage in Chicago, which sold its Dallas franchise to local realty veteran Jerry Mooty Jr. in 2021. The family of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones owns 20% of the Dallas firm, said Mooty, who is the brokerage’s CEO, principal and majority owner.

Another import from the Chicago operation is a proprietary, cutting-edge computer technology suite that manages various aspects of the Dallas agents’ business. “Basically, we’re making their lives more efficient and giving them a lot more time back in their daily activities, so they can generate more deals,” Mooty said.

Such tools and incentive programs — plus in-person training for agents, monthly meetings with industry-related speakers and access to the Christie’s global referral network — have helped the young firm attract the “right people,” Mooty said. And it has lured enough of them to now open a second office near The Star in Frisco.

Love signs
The company’s “love” script, which can be found everywhere from billboards and bumper magnets to cloth masks, was inspired by an old ad campaign, “Love Where You Live,” that eventually morphed into the company’s work mantra, “Love Where You Work.”(Courtesy @properties Christie's International Real Estate)

Another selling point for the company’s agents is a community outreach program called @ Loves Local. The firm hosts well-publicized events with its agents at places such as a coffeehouse or an ice-cream shop, and gives whoever shows up during that time a free treat. “It’s our way to get agents meeting people out in the community,” Mooty said.

The firm’s staffers also expressed their enthusiasm for the way the brokerage operates, with one even stating, “Management is superb. I’ve been in real estate for years and have learned more than ever and have all the tools for success at my fingertips! It’s awesome!”
