Top Workplaces winner Monument Realty is a part of something big

Professional sports affiliations help propel a winning work culture at the real estate brokerage firm.

NO. 1 LARGE COMPANY

4-TIME WINNER

Real estate brokerage firm headquartered at The Star in Frisco, with seven D-FW locations and 1,020 local employees.

Recently, several top producers at Monument Realty were pleasantly surprised when managers presented them with free tickets to a Dallas Cowboys preseason game. The perk represents just one of the ways the full-service brokerage firm goes the extra mile to recognize its employees. It’s all about “giving back with little things like that — something that’s a little bit unexpected,” said Tiffany Burns, Monument’s co-owner.

It’s clear the firm’s workers have noticed. Monument won the Top Workplaces special award for appreciation, with staffers giving it the highest score among the competition on this survey statement: I feel genuinely appreciated at this company. ”The performance is recognized and awarded,” one agent said. Added another: “They pour into me. They root for me and cheer me on. They train me and support me.”

Eddie Burns, Monument’s CEO and co-owner, attributes the overall success of the firm — it’s been No. 1 among our large companies for two straight years — to its “great leadership” at every level, as well as its “3P’s” culture: Positive. Productive. Professional.

Agents and leaders with 3P personalities “tend to want to help others grow, and share news and success stories, and really push everyone to be the best they can possibly be,” the chief executive said. “That’s why we continue to be great.”

The firm’s professional sports a affiliations don’t hurt, either. Monument — headquartered at The Star in Frisco — has been the official real estate company of the Dallas Cowboys (and quarterback Dak Prescott) as well as the Texas Rangers for a couple of years. More recently, it added another coup when it became the official real estate and luxury real estate partner of the PGA of America, which moved its headquarters from Florida to Frisco.

In addition, PGA of America and Omni PGA Frisco Resort named Monument as the title sponsor of the Monument Realty PGA District, a golf and multiuse area located between the Omni and the PGA headquarters. These partnerships not only help grow the brokerage but also provide unique experiences for Monument employees, their families and clients. Those experiences might include Prescott kicking off the football season with a special event at The Cowboys Club in Frisco, or the ’Boys QB throwing pitches to kids for batting practice at the Rangers’ Globe Life Field in Arlington.

Agents and employees are in agreement that the environment at Monument “doesn’t feel like work.” Another agent summed it up this way: “I feel like I’m a part of something big!”
