NO. 1 MIDSIZE COMPANY
5-TIME WINNER
Private agents/brokers firm based in Grapevine, with one D-FW office and 175 local workers.
When the spouse of a real estate agent at Century 21 Mike Bowman suddenly got sick a while back, the whole office leaped into action. A benefit golf tournament was organized, with the funds raised donated to the agent’s family to pay off their medical bills.
“It’s those types of things that we do time and time again when somebody’s in need,” said Dave Bowman, the firm’s vice president and chief operating officer. “Everybody steps up to the plate and helps, no questions asked.”
Grapevine-based Century 21 Mike Bowman has been cultivating such camaraderie since 1971, when it was founded by Dave’s father, Mike Bowman. The full-service brokerage has been one of the top five members of the global Century 21 network every year since 1993. And it’s been the network’s No. 1 office a whopping 18 times.
Employees told us that’s no accident. Here’s how some of them put it:
- “I often get phone calls from management asking how my family is, and if they can do anything to help me.”
- “It’s truly a big family where everyone is willing to help and uplift each other. In a world where we tear each other down, I appreciate the authenticity at my company.”
- “The support from management, top agents and peers is second to none. All you have to do is ask.”
- “I love helping others in all aspects of their real estate experience.”
- “The support staff, accountability and access to management are like no other brokerage I’ve seen.”
Century 21 Mike Bowman has long emphasized customer service delivered with a servant’s heart, Bowman said. For example, even after a sale is completed, “We try to help the buyer with repair people or painters or contractors. ... We’ve really evolved into being able to provide that additional concierge service to our buyers and sellers.”
And if a seller is moving out of state? No problem. “We’ll make sure they’re connected with a top agent in the area, where they’re not having to go out and find somebody on their own,” Bowman added.
As for what’s in store for the company’s employees in 2025, Bowman said there will be continued emphasis placed on all aspects of their well-being. Specifically, “We’re going to help them with their financial planning and smart investments, so they can have a better life,” he said.
