Call it a Rise surprise: Dallas soufflé shop Rise opened in West Plano on March 29, 2024.
This newest Rise is a free-standing restaurant on the corner of W. Park Boulevard and Preston Road, in a former TGI Friday’s restaurant. It shares a shopping center with Trader Joe’s.
Rise was founded by Hedda Gioia Dowd in early 2008 in Dallas. She grew up visiting France in the summertime, and as an adult, she had a hunch North Texans might like delicate, egg-based soufflés, served both savory and sweet. She was right. Rise has become a celebratory restaurant in North Texas, a place with a warm interior and food worth waiting for. Even Martha Stewart likes it.
Today, Rise has restaurants in Dallas, Fort Worth, The Woodlands and Plano.
The next Rise in D-FW will be in Southlake, said company CEO Chris Florczak. Instead of opening in Southlake Town Square, which is home to Mi Cocina, Truluck’s, Del Frisco’s Grille and more, Rise will open a few miles west at W. Southlake Boulevard and Randol Mill Road. It will be neighbors with Delucca Gaucho Pizza & Wine and fast-casual chicken restaurant Birdcall and is expected to open in February 2025, the CEO said.
The company is also building a soufflé shop in Tulsa’s Utica Square.
Rise opened at 2444 Preston Road, Plano, on March 29, 2024. The Southlake restaurant is slated to open at 2001 W. Southlake Blvd., Southlake, in 2025.
