ARLINGTON — Tavares Duckett’s two first-quarter touchdown runs lifted Arlington Bowie to a 59-7 win over Arlington Sam Houston at Wilemon Field.

Duckett and Darrion Bowers combined to lead a balanced ground attack for Bowie (3-2, 1-0 District 8-6A), which capitalized on favorable field possession for most of the game.

Rafield Campbell caught two scoring passes from DeAngelo Ponder, and Joseph Senior returned an interception for a touchdown as Bowie opened a 38-7 halftime advantage.

Bowie earned its 18th consecutive victory over rival Sam Houston (0-5, 0-1), which dropped its 11th straight game overall.
