GARLAND — Quarterback Godspower Nwawulhe had a hand in five of six touchdowns in North Garland's 52-0 win over South Garland Friday night.

Nwawulhe found De'Corals Taylor for touchdowns of 63 and 40 yards and also ran for two more scores. He completed five of his nine passes for 162 yards and had one interception. He was also second in rushing for North Garland (2-2, 1-1 District 9-6A) with 42 yards.

Running back Jaden Davis led all rushers with 204 yards on 19 carries. Davis also notched rushing and receiving touchdowns in the game.

North's Mateo Howard returned the ball 76 yards for a score on the opening kickoff of the second half.

South Garland (1-3, 0-2) threatened to score with 2:05 remaining in the game after forcing a fumble and driving 41 yards, but a fourth-down pass fell incomplete.
South's Jakius Greene had an interception in the third quarter.
