MCKINNEY -- Coach Kendall Brewer started his first year coaching McKinney North (1-0) with a 38-10 win over Garland (0-1) at McKinney ISD Stadium.

Colin Hitchcock threw a 78-yard pass to Gavin Constantine to go up 7-0 in the first 18 seconds of the game. McKinney North scored three more times with two more touchdown passes from Hitchcock, one to Kyler Moore for 45 yards and another to Hendrix for 34 yards. The other score was from Jayden Walker.

Garland scored on it first third-quarter possession when Jayden Norwood ran 21 yards to McKinney North's 1 yard line to set up Garland's only touchdown by Keyuntae King.

McKinney North was led by Hitchcock passing for 274 yards and three touchdowns and Jayden Walker rushing for 162 yards and also scoring twice.
