ARGYLE -- Argyle quarterback John Gailey threw for 94 yards and a touchdown to Wayne Pitts in the first quarter before turning the game over to Alex Moeller, who finished 9 of 17 for 65 yards and a passing touchdown. Five different Argyle players scored a touchdown in the first half, including a 30-yard interception by defensive back Thomas Irwin, as they cruised to a 50-24 win over Carrollton Creekview at Eagle Stadium on Thursday night.

Ranked as the No. 1 5A Division II team in the state, Argyle (10-0, 6-0, District 3-5A Division II) built a 21-0 advantage before Carrollton Creekview (0-10, 0-6) got on the scoreboard. Argyle's Watson Bell turned 16 carries into 92 yards and a rushing touchdown while Maguire Gasperson contributed 8 catches for 66 yards and a score.

The third quarter was bracketed by an interception return for a touchdown by both teams. Bud Peter took the first pass of the half 30 yards for an Argyle touchdown. Creekview returned the favor when Ben Pfeil took the last play of the quarter back for a 30 yard score on his interception.

Creekview was paced by wide receiver Jaiden Kelley who had 8 catches for 150 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Jaiden Paige was 21 of 31 passing for 309 yards and 3 touchdowns.
